Mystery bungalow

I bought this little bungalow a few years ago. I have not been able to work out who the maker was, or country of origin (although I suspect it is English). It is made from cast metal and fits together with slatted and hinged components. I would guess that it dates from the 1930's.

The front opens to reveal the sitting room and hallway. The roof lifts off so that you can see down into the 4 rooms. I have furnished them as sitting room, bedroom, hallway and tiny kitchen. Not sure what the dolls are supposed to do if they need the bathroom! I love the curved bay window and linoleum effect flooring.
Dimensions are as follows width 17 inches, height to the top of chimney 14 ins, depth 11 inches.

  2. Oh its lovely! It does look English - so like the real 1930's bungalows you still see here. I love dolls houses like this.

    Merry Christmas.

  3. How charming, Lizzie! I have not seen something like this before. Hopefully, someone might know the origins. By the way, I LOVE the orange chairs -- so deco!
