I bought this little bungalow a few years ago. I have not been able to work out who the maker was, or country of origin (although I suspect it is English). It is made from cast metal and fits together with slatted and hinged components. I would guess that it dates from the 1930's.
The front opens to reveal the sitting room and hallway. The roof lifts off so that you can see down into the 4 rooms. I have furnished them as sitting room, bedroom, hallway and tiny kitchen. Not sure what the dolls are supposed to do if they need the bathroom! I love the curved bay window and linoleum effect flooring.
Dimensions are as follows width 17 inches, height to the top of chimney 14 ins, depth 11 inches.

What a wonderful dollhouse!! I can't help with identifying it but I think you are very lucky.

ReplyDeleteOh its lovely! It does look English - so like the real 1930's bungalows you still see here. I love dolls houses like this.

How charming, Lizzie! I have not seen something like this before. Hopefully, someone might know the origins. By the way, I LOVE the orange chairs -- so deco!
