Bargains of the weekend!

I have enjoyed a busy weekend selling at two Flea markets. Above are some great finds from the Exeter Fair - this collection of old toys all came together in a cute old box.
Then on Sunday at Shepton Mallet Flea market this early 20th century Lines Bros house was discovered on an outside stall.

As you can see it requires some restoration. There are signs of woodworm on the base, so my first job will be to treat that.

  2. Wow! What a find! And it has all its windows - wonderful. I actually really like the wallpapers! ;-) But they are not really appropriate to this house, sadly! I wonder if there are any original papers underneath?

  5. Really Cool toys and dollhouse. Which method do you use to treat wood worm? The 3 weeks in the freezer is all I know. Thanks CM

  6. I will have to treat the worm holes with a chemical as the house is too big to fit in our freezer. I will then wrap it in plastic sheeting so that anything active will be destroyed. Like you Rebecca, I actually like the papers. I might try to soak them off to see if the originals are underneath.... watch this space as they say!
